Job Duties: Canoesys, Inc. In Rolling Meadows, Illinois, is seeking experienced Software Developers III to coordinate the design, development, testing, and support of software applications. Individuals will apply advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of related subject matter principles and concepts to perform the following duties and responsibilities: Coordinate the design, development, testing, and support of software applications. Coordinate the development and definition of application scope and objectives and coordinate the preparation of functional and/or technical specifications. Review code and complex components of information systems, as well as mentor others on coding standards. Analyze and classify complex change request and reviews and evaluates possible enhancements. Oversee the analysis and evaluation of detailed business and technical requirements, as well as maintain active relationships with customers to determine business requirements. Coordinate system testing and fixing defects identified during testing and coordinate re-execution unit tests to validate results. Integrate activities with other IT departments for successful implementation and support of projects efforts. Oversee all phases of software development life cycle (SDLC) starting from planning (gathering requirements), analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment and maintenance on waterfall and agile methodology. Install packages as required and maintained by updating and upgrading with latest releases. Create custom and extension controllers to extend the logic and modified as needed to meet the business requirements. Wrote multiple batch jobs and scheduled for daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. Work on big and small teams to meet the business needs and proving continuous solutions to the users. Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, any STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) field of study or a related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, any STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) field of study or a related field of study plus five (5) years of post-degree progressive experience in the job offered or in a related position. Individuals must also possess demonstrable proficiency and knowledge working with the following: 1. AGILE 2. WATERFALL 3. GIT 4. SDLC 5. SQL No travel or telecommuting. Job duties are project-based and performed on long-term assignments at various unanticipated sites within the U.S. which may require relocation at the end of the project.
