Job Duties: Canoesys, Inc. in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, is seeking experienced Java Developers III who will utilize advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of subject matter principles and concepts, as well as experience with Java technologies, to assist Project Manager in analyzing, designing and modifying Java software solutions. Java Developer III's will perform the following duties and responsibilities: Coordinate the design, development, testing, and support of Java/J2EE applications. Coordinate the modification of existing application software to correct errors or improve performance. Monitor software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation. Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmer analysts and others to assist in the design of software systems and obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Oversee the communication with clients about desired software system design and maintenance. Monitor and oversee the software system installation to ensure specifications are met. Review the analysis and evaluation of information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to help determine software configuration. Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related field of study and five (5) years of progressive post-degree experience in the job offered or in a related position. Individuals must also possess demonstrable proficiency and knowledge working with the following: Java/JEE, Javascript/NodeJs, RDBMS-SQL, Scala Databases: Oracle, IBM-DB2, MongoDB Frameworks: Springboot, Angular, Struts. No travel or telecommuting. Job duties are project-based and performed on long-term assignments at various unanticipated sites within the U.S. which may require relocation at the end of the project. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
